Industry-Standard ABC-XYZ Classification
At the heart of the app is a rigorous ABC-XYZ segmentation framework - one of the most widely adopted classification methods in supply chain management:
ABC classifies products by volume contribution: A = top 70%, B = next 20%, C = remaining 10%.
XYZ classifies products by demand predictability: X = stable, Y = variable, Z = intermittent.
Special classifications automatically flag Obsolete items (6, 12, or 18 months without shipment), Short History / New Products, Intermittent demand items, and Zero Class products.
